A Night at the Opera

Leeds Youth Opera played Manon at the Carriageworks. A national newspaper once decribed LYO as a national treasure. It is, in my opinion, a well deserved name and it always tries to live up to its billing.  They've always been good, but the acting of the players when they are not singing is out of this world. Sheila had a few problems in the first half with a foam ear plug stuck inside her bassoon.

It was a nice bit of culture in a week of manic teaching. No pics, so here's a random one of Foxwood Steel Bandits, including yourself, Debs, playing in Staithes in 2004, and one of Staithes from the cliff top.
